I have just finished working on the best and last film of the new starwars trilogy. There is a lot of action in this movie. This marked my completion of 3 major trilogies.

I jetted down to New Zealand for this sci-fi documentary style film working with hundreds of robots, and some badass cars. The film was a welcomed success. I worked primarily on the tunnel car chase sequence and crowd riot scenes. 20 shots in 6 weeks, that's weta efficiency for ya.

Its not machines this time, but mother nature herself threatening the end of mankind. There are some dramatic destruction shots in store. I | composited | two hero shots after New York has frozen over. One of which graced the cover of | cinefex |

I dove into the final chapter of the Lord of the Rings trilogy - | compositing | on the King of the Dead and massive assault on Minas Tirith sequences. The creature work is amazing in this film, actually everything is. This is the first oscar nominated film I've worked on and we won 11 of them! That is insane.

The final installment of the matrix trilogy? What exactly happened you might be asking, I don't know either, but the | siege sequence | kicked complete ass.

The first | shot | I completed for revolutions was featured in the | superbowl trailer |. At that one single moment more people saw my work than in the rest of my career combined.

The second installment of the matrix involved an elaborate setup for the war in zion. Eight months were spent developing | the dock | - a full cg environment that could be totally annihilated in the third movie. This was also the first time the APU was revealed.

I worked as a lighting TD and compositor on the full CG segment titled "The Final Flight of the Osiris." It was also the final production of squareUSA. The 10 minutes of footage took approximately 9 months to complete and are awesome. Intended as half entertainment and half an R&D testbed for the next 2 matrix films - we paved the way for sentinel swarming, diggers, and tunnel chases. Released internationally in theatres but only on DVD in the US, many say its has the best stories of the trilogy, second only to the original matrix. Due to its top secret nature, it was locked up for a least a year... a long time in a high tech business... giving all square's competition a year to catch up to where we were. It still rocked.

I worked the final 9 months of production as a compositor for this one of a kind groundbreaking film.  I composited a little over 50 shots using primarily Media Illusion and some Shake, After Effects, Rayz, and Combustion - whatever got the job done.  The box office results can eat me, I was stoked to be a part of this crew - the visuals rocked.

The DVD was released with a whole slew of extra material - including my voice on the board/playblast commentary track - too cool. | compositing clip |

When I was in college I set out to make a feature length film. It was my third feature screenplay and I felt pretty good about it. The catch was there were over 400 effects shots and I just couldn't pull it all together. The movie was cut down to 90 minutes and halfway decent. Its a shame I had to set it down. But I stuck with it for 5 years and finally realized that it was great for what it was - but I need to do something smaller and achievable by one person. Everyone who worked on it rocked and gave great performances. Here's | aquarius | - some of what we did, and check out the trailer.
